DEGREE & DIPLOMA PROGRAMS

Students may select any 20 courses for the degree applying in the Associate or Bachelor program from the Course Selections. The student may select any 10 courses for the Master or Doctorate degree program from the Course Selections. The student may select any 20 courses for the Master of Divinity from the Course Selection Section of the application/registration form. If the student chooses not to select his or her courses, the school will select the courses.

THEOLOGY DEGREE PROGRAMS

Theology is the degree that most academics of religion will pursue. The emphasis is on history, language, and exegesis. A theology degree is a good place to start for anyone wanting to pursue their faith, whether as a minister, a pastor or a youth worker. ... Students learn a wide variety of skills through theology, like critical thinking, clear writing, problem solving and analysis of social and historical trends.

The Bachelor of Theology Degree B.Th at most schools may take between 3 and 5 years to complete. Concepts covered throughout the degree program include philosophy, Bible studies, theology, ministry, Christianity and other religions.

The Masters of Theology M.Th is usually a two-year academic program suitable for those interested in pursuing careers in teaching or ministry or as preparation for further academic work. 

The Doctorate of Theology D.Th degree  is an advanced research degree usually requiring 2-3 years and is the equivalent to the Doctor of Philosophy. 

Associate of Theology Degree Program

Prerequisite: None

The Associate of Theology Degree requires 60 credit hours. Taking 20 courses will complete the credit hours. Each course is worth 3 credit hours.

Bachelor of Theology Degree Program

Prerequisite: Associate Degree is required.

The Bachelor of Theology Degree is composed of 120 total credit hours. An Associate Degree earned will be credited toward the degree program.  Taking 20 courses above the Associates Degree will complete the credit hours.

Master of Theology Degree Program

Prerequisite: A Bachelor Degree is required.

The Master of Theology Degree Program requires 30 credit hours above the Bachelor Degree. Taking 10 courses above the Bachelor Degree will complete the credit hours.

Doctor of Theology Degree Program

Prerequisite: A Master Degree is required.

The Doctor of Theology Degree Program requires 30 credit hours above the Master Degree. Taking 10 courses above the Master Degree will complete the credit hours.

DIVINITY DEGREE PROGRAMS

Divinity is the degree that most pastors  will pursue. The emphasis is on leadership, counseling, and the fundamentals of a specific area of religion or denomination.


Master of Divinity Degree Program

Prerequisite: A Bachelor Degree is required.

The Masters of Divinity degrees are different from other degrees since they prepare students for spiritual and guidance job positions. Due to this, they are longer than most master's degrees. To graduate with an M.Div qualification, other schools may require students to study three to four years.

The Master of Divinity Degree Program requires 60 credit hours above the Bachelor Degree. Taking 20 courses above the Bachelor Degree will complete the credit hours.

Doctorate of Divinity Degree 

Prerequisite: Extensive impactful work in a particular field of ministry or ministry work combined with Bachelor's, or Master's Degree is required.

A Doctor of Divinity is an honorary degree. The title is bestowed to individuals who have devoted their lives to theological pursuits or community betterment. .




DIPLOMA PROGRAMS

Students may select any 3 courses for the 9 credit hours Diploma Programs from the Course Selections.

Pastoral Ministry Diploma

Prerequisite: None
Require 9 credit hours. Taking 3 courses will complete the credit hours. Each course is worth 3 credit hours.

Family Ministry Diploma

Prerequisite: None
Require 9 credit hours. Taking 3 courses will complete the credit hours. Each course is worth 3 credit hours.

Biblical Studies Diploma

Prerequisite: None
Require 9 credit hours. Taking 3 courses will complete the credit hours. Each course is worth 3 credit hours.
